Good news!
I agree it is unfortunate that you were caused additional worry and stress, but just as you had the right to appeal the original DLA decision, there is also a right of appeal against the tribunal decision (this applies to both the DLA and the claimant). Because of this, the DLA has legal duty to carefully consider the tribunal's decision to see if there are any grounds for appeal before making any payments.
In my experience once they decide not to appeal, the back payment is made pretty quickly. It should be in your bank account within the next couple of weeks, maybe sooner.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
My wife got her DLA Mobility component untill Sept 2011. We sent in the forms to renew in July and have just received the descision. My wife has had high rate mobility renewed for an indefinate period along with middle rate care.
No argument this time, but then she has been going tothe doctor to get oxygen.0 -

Not always, mistakes, misinterpretation of phrases/words, procedural errors etc can and do happen.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0
