When NOT to finish an auction!

Going through some of my 684 subscribed posts to get rid of some - and came across this.
Thought it would be nice to give it a bump, and let any newbies place their vote!0 -
I think it depends what you are selling. Sunday doesn't seem to be a good day for me.
In my experience Baby clothes and other baby items tend to sell better on a week day, maybe because a parent has time to look during the 'quieter' times... perhaps when their older children, if they have them, are at school/preschool. Weekends & evenings are too manic in my house!
I occasionally sell a specialised brand of office equipment and I find that this usually does better finishing on a Friday so that office workers have all week to look at it. Having said that, if I haven't had much interest (no watchers/low number of visits) with 12 hours to go I usually extend the auction to 10 days so that it finishes on a Monday in the hope of catching someone else without relisting.0 -
Sunday and Tuesday work best for me, the weekend always seems to pick up a lot of watchers as well. I tend to list on a Thursday or Saturday on a 10 dayer depending on what the item is.2p off is still 2p off!0
