£4,000 seems dear for business class but you don't say where she wants to fly from or when she wants to go. Emirates vary between around £1,600 to just over £2,000 from GLA-BKK. Thai will take you to Phuket from London with a stop at Bangkok for £2,100 in September. That's without much searching so could be cheaper if you hunt around.0

Turkish Airlines are offering B/C (restricted ie no changes) for £1600 to BKK. Great airline btw, imho.
Depends on your dates of course. Book direct www.thy.com
Rough it then with AirAsia for a 1h hop to Phuket0 -
Ive booked for Thailand in Nov. Booked it earlier this year with Air Asia return for £350 from Stanstead. Tell her to fly with them to Kuala Lumpur then its £30 return to Phuket. Just booked my flights to PHK the other day. Or you can give me the 4k and I'll book it for you0

Maybe she should speak to someone as opposed to rely on t'internet as it has limitations - i.e. may not mix and match airlines via Bangkok, or won't advise if an overnight in Singapore could save several thousand pounds, or adding a couple of nights accommodation could save money.
Or you could just post when she is travelling and peeps here could look for her. £4,000 is a lot, should be half of that at least unless she wants to fly a legacy carrier (i.e. BA).0 -
You don't state when your aunt wants to go, or for how long, or from where.......................
