Have euro shrapnel!

Hello,
My husband has come back from France with over 25 euro in coins. The post office said they only buy back notes.
Has anyone managed to convert their euro change to pounds. Seems a waste havign a bowl of euros and cents when we dont plan on travelling abroad again for some years.

Sell them to friends, neighbours or colleagues at work.

Or stand outside the Bureau de Change offering bags of €10.50 in coins in exchange for a €10 note.

If you're sorted never mind but Thomas Cook will change 1 and 2 euro coins just not the little ones.

did you know that some stores take euros ie lidl aldi ??
  • Always manage to shift currency at work on XE exchange rate, everyone's a winner. I live in Bournemouth and local businesses are excepting the Euro this year in an attempt to drum up some interest, if you live near any seaside town you shouldn't have a problem in shifting them at the moment.
