Hi all,
I currently have the NTL 3 for £30 package which incidently never is (!?)
I am sure there must be a cheaper way of doing things and as we are moving house very shortly, thought i might try again.
would very much like sky as i would like sky+ LOL..
any ideas what would be the best/ cheapest way of doing all three?
Many thanks,
Simon

It depends on your TV and BB requirements really.
For satellite TV, you could just go for Freesat (THESE CHANNELS) and not have any ongoing subscription - so you'd only have to pay one-off equipment and installation costs only (£50 or so on ebay and zero if you're a reasonable at DIY).
BB prices are starting to fall now but your download needs will still affect the price. You'd be wise to have a look/ask the question on the Internet Access board.
Your choice for voice telephony will also depend on your use. Martin's article (see the link in my signature below) is well worth a detailed read and, if you're leaving cable behind and going for a BT landline, it's particularly relevant.
Essentially, you'll have no difficulty in getting your calls to UK 01/02 numbers for nothing E&W and for 3p each regardless of duration weekdays, 4p connection and 5p/minute (2p/minute at weekends) calls to mobiles and, 0.5p/minute calls to Europe, USA, Australia and NZ.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
