    I agree! I received half my order but they have taken whole order amount from my card and I have not received any information yet about whether the rest is cancelled or coming later! Don't like to phone yet as I too got the extra £5 off and think they may raise this!!:eek:

    I was in London over the weekend & went into Fortnum. Wow, what a great shop! I loved it & some of the sale prices were amazing!

    Have to say they substituted 4 out of my 7 items and 1 item never arrived at all! Not great customer service as i rang to find out about the missing item and the man bluntly told me its out of stock and discontinued. Then he tried to say goodbye, I asked twice, well what about a refund then? He seemed baffled as to why i would receive a refund! NOT impressed at all. I also ordered in the 10th July and have had no email/phone call or anything about substitutions or missing items!

    For anyone with missing items - the one thing I got was the pickled walnut chutney. I don't know whether I got a duff batch, but it's one of the wettest, soggiest, dullest chutneys I have ever tasted. Can't believe it's Fortnum's. So if you missed out on that, as long as you get a refund, you didn't really miss out.
  • It may sound mean but I am glad I'm not the only one - at least I'm in good company. If I get time later I will have a trawl through their site to see if we can find any real names to email and complain to.

    Sorry to hear about the pickled walnut chutney. I was hoping to give some as presents but maybe that's not such a good idea. I quite like my friends...

    my order came in dribs and drabs then I rang and was told sold out now although I had paid june ,surprised I wanted a refund for the best bit

    I only received 1 wellington boot with a dirty sole,they say they are going to look for the missing boot!!!

    The chutney was a weird consistancy, but used in a sandwich it added a nice flavour. Similar to 5 spice.

    I never got my nuts but was charged for them. I have sent an email, but had no response.
    ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷

    Oh Dear, and i thought I had bad service, At least i got 2 wellies! That is truly awful. It's just not what you expect is it, especially from a store that is so well known. Thumbs down to Fortnum and Mason. At least with Harrods you get free delivery if you spend over £50.
  • I did a quick internet search and think the Chief Exec is Beverley Aspinall. I have sent her an email to [EMAIL="beverley.aspinall@fortnumandmason.co.uk"]beverley.aspinall@fortnumandmason.co.uk[/EMAIL] and it hasn't bounced back so far. I have included the link for this thread but would suggest anyone who isn't happy emails her too. It's the only way companies learn where they are falling short of expectations.
