Still not feeling right today, still tired but not sleepy and now I ache all over but that's it, I have nothing else wrong with me, very strange but at least I can comp

Hope everyone has a good and lucky day today, I'll go look at the snap thing later on once everyone's run out of people to play with, might have a better chance then too!lol

should I be worried?
I still have my headache - less thumpy but still there - and overnight I've gotten a sore throat...
should I have stayed home today?

also I see the Thin Martian game kicks off today (don't get why people are calling it Big Snap when there's no element of Big Snap in it :rotfl: ) and the whole thing has a sour taste in my mouth.. it's just.. wrong. to make people play in pairs.. that's jsut odd to me. So will give it a try later with the OH and see what it's like but I'm expecting, sadly, to not play shame..

Oh dear there's so much illness around. Munckim and Gemma, hope you both feel better soon.

Someone at work today said their partner has been diagnosed with swine flu (I say diagnosed, as much as you can be over the phone) last Friday and someone else in the office had a right go at them telling them they shouldn't have come to work today. What?! She really shouted at her - totally unnecessary! She said that if anyone else in the office gets it then that's her fault for coming to work! If we're gonna get it we'll get it regardless - a bit of an over reaction if you ask me. Obviously if you're not well then stay at home, that makes sense, but the whole country will come to a halt if we all stay home because we know someone who's got it.

True splodz and to be honest, I'd much rather get swine flu right now as doesn't that lessen the chance of you getting it after it mutates (which it will do....they always do!) The guy that works at the desk opposite OH had it a few weeks ago but no-one else we know has it, not really sure if thats good or bad right now though :rotfl:

It's just difficult as everyone is getting into a panic about it (I found myself doing just that last night!). I don't want it but if I'm going to get it then fine. Obviously I don't want anyone to be ill but I'm not going to stop my life just in case... I'll stay home as per the advice if I get it but otherwise it's fine to carry on as normal. I'm more worried about this phone diagnosis thing meaning that some people are being told they've got swine flu when it's actually someone else which needs different treatment coz it's the easy diagnosis at the moment.

Anyway, rant over, I seriously don't want anyone to get ill and hope it doesn't get really bad for anyone or close schools/public places etc. xx

i agree splodz i think the phone diagnosis is stupid! .. i got diagnosed after ringing the doctor for 4 days on a trot to say i felt ill and being told to just rest, eventually got given the tamiflu ( although was told as id been ill for so long already it may not work) finished the course on monday and felt even worse so got sent to hospital wheree i get told that my swine flu had progressed and developed into pneumonia ( coz it had been left untreated for so long) so now im in even more discomfort and on even more meds!

This is exactly what I meant - how awful cmc, I hope you get better quickly now you're being treated properly xx

And at the same time that people like you aren't getting the right info/treatment, other people will be phoning up and basically lying to get tamiflu 'just in case'.

ugh i feel awful, sore throat and dh not helping! heard on radio this morn about the 15 year old that died in scotland and then just after that it said people with diabetes/asthma will be prioritised, hmm hope that girl didnt have either of that or i will start worrying:(
