  • I use these sometimes, they are really good but can be quite expensive for all the time

has anyone here recieved an email from hm revenue and customs? says im due a refund but wants me to click on a link and im wary of doing that, my mate who works in the tax credit office says they dont keep emails on file etc and says it could be scam, just wondered if anyone else recieved same:confused: need to report it if it is

if you hover over the link it will show you bottom left of toolbar (above start button) what website it is redireting you to without having to click the link itself.

personally i wouldnt click on anything via email, if in doubt phone them. I have only ever had rebates awarded via letter, so i would be extremely dubious xx

    Scam emails

We are aware of a scam that involves an email with a fake HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) heading. The email asks customers to provide banking details so that a repayment can be issued. This type of email scam is know as a 'phishing' exercise and it should always be ignored and deleted.

I got a couple through to my junk mail in my hotmail account ... i think they are duds, lately i have had a lot from my "online banking" too ... I'm with the halifax and the first one was supposedly from them, but then the next day i had one Barclays then natwest so they all all definitely dodgy!

Hoping there no agro for anyone today :) Good luck all!
