Good - a few people have posted on here after being taken for a ride by these people.
There is information available to these people about approximate issue date of number blocks, and the rest is pure speculation and pretence. Always be suspicious if the caller seems to know your network but no other details, like name and the exact contract date.
Ask the name of their company and say you've never heard of them - they nearly always hang up.0 -
I had one of these bozos phone me up...I kept him on the line for over half an hour as he desperately tried to sign me up. I switched between being interested and not interested...he offered me a free holiday and a set of china plates worth £560 apparently! It was so funny the longer he was on the phone the harder he tried, tying himself in knots with the various deals he kept mixing up.Join the Sarcasm Appreciation Society.

I hung up on one of these guys, he then phoned me back and I had to hang up on him a further 3 times  before he finally got the message.0

PITAs, all of them.
I kept getting calls saying "We're from <insert network> customer services and would like to discuss your current contract" or such spiel. Then they go on to ask about how long i've had the contract, my mobile number, etc, which they would have if they were legitimate, so i taunt them by saying, "You're from CS, you tell me...." . At that point, they usually hang up.0 -
I've had these idiots, and they've been absolutely abusive, shouting and swearing down the phone, repeatedly calling me back, just because I told them I wasnt interested.DONE: Great North Run 09! Raised £452 for the National Autistic Society
