Hasd some stuff called Incognito recommended this year, our neighbors used it and said they were only bitten the night they didn`t use it. Apparently it does not actually repel mozzies but hides you from them. Smells nice too!

    Anyone else tried it?

a little tip we where given a few years back by our local chemist

once you are bitten, rub the inside skin of a banana over the bite mark
this will take the swelling down and avoid the itching etc

have used it for the last 2 years in Majorca, worked a treat :j:j

Jungle spray, it doesn't smell too good but works for us. We spray it on before going out in the evening.
Plug in mozzy things, you can get them in supermarksets and chemists. Plug them in before you go out in evening.
We have never been bitten so would assume they work ok!

    Fully agree with the above.

Used plug in unit and jungle spray last month in Italy and didn't get bitten at all.

Take vitamin B1 for a couple of weeks before going and continue for the duration of your holiday, yeast tablets also work well. This is the advice I've been given on another forum, but havent tried them yet!!

eating fresh garlic with food does the trick for us - like vampires, mossies don't like garlic smell either

The jungle stuff is definately good - I had a liquid version once that I used to put on pillow cases/edges of sheets.

The plug in repellant things are effective at night (or at least were last time I was in Greece)

Well one does try to help where one can, often gets ignored though; still, if people want to repeat the same info over and over when its already here then who am I to stop them? :D

I Use Life Systems Expedition + it is an insect repellant as well as keeping the mossies off this isnt the cheapest on the market but it does work

please check that any repellant you buy contains DEET if it aint got it it isnt going to work correctly of for prolonged periods
Deet is the formular that deters mossys and insects away. ideally you should get something that contains 100% Deet for max strenght

ive just used it on corfu and once again it worked for me
