No damage but injury claimed car accident?

Unusual for whiplash to start hurting immediately0

Dealt with a couple of similar incidents when I worked in motor claims 15 years ago for an insurer.
We would defend them (although some insurers may take an easier route). Simply put, the forces exerted during braking are not sufficient to cause a whiplash type injury. It needs the sudden decelaration of an impact to actually cause the neck to suffer in this way.
If you receive anything, pass it to your insurers and make sure you emphasise there was no actual impact.
just do as matt suggests and you'll be fine.0 -
From what this woman is alleging like it or not you have been involved in a reportable collision. Should have been reported to the police at the time or in any case within 24 hours.
Have you provided you details (Including insurance due to the injury)?
If not the I am in no doubt you will recieve a letter from the police requesting driver details.
I hope they haven't reported you for failing to stop and report.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I'm confused how you know the woman pulled out of her junction the same time as you if you didn't see her before she almost hit you? Either you saw her at the junction or you didn't!

There was no collision."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
Exactly Poppy - she nearly hit him.... must've had her foot down a bit heavy on the righthand pedal to catch up to him so fast she had to brake.
Chippy - he said in his initial post, that he stopped. How else did he manage to have the conversation with the woman driver?
Either way, there was no collision.Genie
