Does anyone know if the new HD LCD TVs can now be used in France??eg could we buy a bargain here in the UK and take it over to France and plug it into an adaptor plug and get a signal???? I know that it did not work with analogue tvs but wonder if that has now changed....

It appears that you can use it for digital TV (but not analogue TV)! France uses the SECAM system for analogue TV, but the PAL system for digital (as in the UK).
This may have the info you need!

99% chance of it picking up the analogue signals (for as long as they last) as most modern TV's have a SECAM ability.
As for digital TV, yes it will work.
Saying all that, French TV is utter garbage so depending where you are I'd get Sky installed0
