ESPN Prices revealed - Have they made a big mistake?!

It looks like ESPN Classic has gone.0

The thing people are forgetting is how poor Setanta was, not just in the product they provided, but in how they treated the customer.
I am sure ESPN will provide better customer service, won't rob customers like Setanta did, or mess them around, and will also provide a better quality picture.
For me, the only reason I am getting ESPN is for the football. I couldn't care less about the other sports, and I know most feel the same.
The difference between ESPN and Setanta in a footballing sense is massive. Setanta win with their non-league footage, as ESPN don't have any. However, with ESPN showing Scottish football along side Sky, as well as showing live German football (which Setanta messed about with, but never committed to), as well as Portuguese football, (never picked up by Setanta), Russian football (again not picked up by Setanta) and MLS (again not picked up by Setanta), Dutch football (which Setanta never showed live) as well as French, they are a miles better prospect than Setanta was.
I was paying £12 P/M for Setanta, granted I got about 10 channels, but with no interest in Golf, or in any of the other stuff the other channels were all pointless, and superseded by what was available on sky (like skysportsnews was better than Setantasportsnews), paying £3 less, but getting to see a lot more sport that I want is better.
Also ESPN America is also thrown in with this package, having gone off for non ESPN subscribers, so that is another bonus for anyone thinking of joining (although I can't say I ever watched anything other than the odd hour on America).
ESPN also have won the rights to the UFC, arguably the only other thing of worth that Setanta held when they went bust. As a result, and with the fact that they won't be as horrible to deal with like Setanta were, I don't think they will have any problems, especially as they also have a HD channel, and Skys help too.0 -
Are poeple not also forgetting that ESPN are paying less for there EPL and possible SPL coverage. They also seem to be working with SKY so there will be a lot of synergies by doing it this way as opposed to Setanta who were out on there own.0

Anyone know if it's possible to watch GAA anywhere in UK now - that was a great part of the Setanta package for me (and after a weekend in Ireland and a tour of Croke Park) I'm missing it already0

Channel 162 ( rte 2) will show all ireland matches that are on. They showed all the Footballing Q Finals last weekend.0

I can't access that Channel in the UK - I guess it's only available to Sky Ireland customers ??0
