Moving from Sky to TalkTalk

I've just been reading the weekly e-mail and realised that i might be paying too much for my broadband.
At the moment i am paying £11.25 p/m to BT for my line rental and a further £36 p/m to Sky for TV (3 mixes, no sport or movies) and broadband. The phone line is only used for internet access as i use my mobile for all calls.
Am i right in thinking that if i switch to the TalkTalk deal mentioned in the e-mail (£19.40 p/m with £50 cashback for line rental, broadband, free evening & weekend calls) I would no longer have to pay BT? If this is right i could save about £9 p/m (it's £19 for the Sky TV package iirc) plus get £50 cashback
.
Any advice appreciated.

HI Nico151,
If you move your service to TalkTalk then there is nothing to pay to BT. You would need to check https://www.samknows.com to see if there is availability on your exchange for LLU services.
Cheers

Hi Emma,
thanks for your reply. I have checked and there is availability for LLU services. From reviewing this forum i have noticed a few people complaining about TalkTalk's service (slow in the evenings etc). I know that you are not allowed to be seen to be selling your service here but do you have any comment on this? I have had a couple of problems with sky but on the whole they have been reliable.0 -
I can only speak as I find.........We have been with Talktalk for over a year now, and are very satisfied with the service. Any small glitches we have had was cleared up quickly. I certainly don't regret moving to them, and as long as the service continues as it is, we shall stay with them. They can't be beaten on price either as far as I am aware! When man sacrifices the Love of POWER for the Power of Love, there will be peace on earth.0

Don't touch talk talk.
everyone i know who has used them has had nothing but trouble.
my mum had it at her home direct debit from her bank in hubbys name they split he moved out. Talk talk insisted to cut off the service they needed to speak to him even though my mum did not know where he was living etc. Then the broadband stopped working and they would not send anyone out unless hubby rang them!! I called them on her behalf and told them direct debit would be cancelled as i wasn't going to let her pay for something she didn't want that doesn't work and that if they tried to chase her for money after all her attempts to disconnect the service i would take them to court. Anyway about 3 days later they sent a letter saying they were sorry she was leaving!!
The bully boy actics they used on my mum were disgraceful she lost sleep over it. If you do have problems with them threaten to take them to court lolMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

TT is fine as long as its working, get any sort of issue and your entering a whole world of pain.
I would strongly suggest you re consider your options0 -
Hi Nico151,
There is an exchange checker on the TalkTalk Members forums. If you search for your exchange you should be able to see if there is any congestion etc on your local exchange.
Cheers
