A Basic Car Hire Question please!

Can someone tell me about car size and passenger numbers? I'm logged onto a carhire comparison site and am looking for a large people carrier for 4 adults, 2 infants, luggage and a pram in France.

I've searched only for people carriers and all of them are showing just 5 people in the capacity section. Does this include the driver? I assume no, so would they be ample for my tribe?! Last time I hired a car it was just for 4 so it didn't matter too much, but if I get something that we can't all fit into, we're scuppered!! How can I make sure that we get something large enough and not just a standard people carrier that won't fit us all in. :rolleyes:

.....although I'm starting to wonder whether it'll just be cheaper to hire 2 smaller cars......

Hi there- the capacity does generally include the driver in my experience. If you are looking for something "out of the ordinary" with car hire I have found its often easier to phone the car hire places direct and haggle with them direct as they can tell you exactly what they have available that will be big enough!
