Sony Ericson J132

We are just about to head off on holiday abroad and will take full advantage of the Vodafone Passport deal. Problem is that my son has dropped his phone in water and will have to take a cheap J132 instead. What I cannot work out is how to do a network search (needed to select the correct network to work with passport).

Can anyone help me with this? Or do I need to buy another slightly more expensive phone meantime?

There's no reference in the manual, I assume they omitted this feature for simplicity but I would imagine the phone is intelligent enough to try and connect to any local network that it has access to.

However you no longer need to be on a preferred network to make Passport work, any network that has a roaming agreement with Vodafone will support it.

    Hi Broadwoodboy

You have nothing to worry about.

Phones are designed so that they are able to pick up an available network when you travel.

We have also changed our policies - so peregrin is right, you are now able to use any network in a Passport country to take advantage of this offer.

    Have a great time away!
