The problem with all this property !!!!!! is going home today to my yucky hovel that needs lots of work... :o :rotfl: I'd just love something needing no work done, with a second bedroom and not next to a huge stadium... and for someone else to pay for it! :(

I am greatful - I have an 1 bed flat (ok with a mortgage ) that I can afford. Its in a safe area. It costs me less that it would to rent a similar property in my city. I AM lucky. Most of my friends either have huge mortgages for similar properties (and are finding things tough now) or can't afford to buy at all. In fact based on my current salary I wouldn't be able to afford my flat if I had not benifited from price rises when I sold my old flat to buy this one! I'll be eternally greatful that my parents convinced me to buy at 18! :D

DT's property is winning with me so far - this is assuming I don't have to work anymore and can just sit on the balcony admiring the view all day... ah bliss!
