Virgin Media Cancel fee ??? £23 !!

I am moving next week, so i rang them up to cancel it, they said its £23, is there anyway i can get around this charge ?

If i get the MAC code what does this do ?

if your moving you wont need a mac code
the new owner will have trouble getting internet if they put a stop on the line because of your non-payment it can take weeks to resolve too

so i would just pay the £23 as its next to nothing or get the service installed in your new house

A MAC code is so you change Internet provider without down time but you would need to be staying at the same address for that to be useful.
