Carphone Warehouse

I know Martin is very busy, and that this isn't exactly on level terms financially with the subjects he has tackled of late, but I feel it is one that needs attention.
Anybody and everybody in a mobile phone contract with Carphone Warehouse are having there rights violated in many ways. I'm sure other companies are the same, but I only have experience with these cowboys/thieves.
Upon trying to cancel you are constantly told that you are unable to cancel until 2days prior to your 30days notice. Despite the terms and conditions stating at least 30 days notice. They refuse to give the address or the require cancellation codes, etc.
I am aware that this is common knowledge around here, but many people are scammed by this.
The main reason for this thread is to highlight peoples plight. I imagine (unfortunately) Martin is too busy to tackle this problem, I really do feel rude asking, but I feel it is one that needs addressing. If people can post here I can direct Oftel here and at least there is will be information here for them to read.
It may be too late for those of us, like me, already trapped in this situation, but maybe we can prevent them from scamming more unsuspecting individuals.
Thank you to all who are able to post, or if you can write to Oftel yourselves

You are not trapped unless you actually call them and listen to their blatent lies. You don't need the disconnection code, don't need to wait until the 2 days before the 30 and you don't need to speak with them. No harm in repeating it on another thread with a different purpose - but meanwhile you can escape from your own entrapment by searching for and reading the relevent thread on cwp disconnections. It is all on there from a long time back - and the address to write to to give notice (Southampton) is on there several times over.0
