Camping holiday in europe - who's best??

Didn't think we'd be having a holiday abroad this summer - cash flow is short due to moving house - however - have been looking into how much it costs just to do something like a haven holiday in this country and I'm shocked! (I saw a caravan for £600 - £700 for a week) Now wondering if we can find something like a Keycamp or such like in France for that kind of money or not - where I am best to look and who does these type of holidays best???

Well if it's cheap then NOT Eurocamp, Keycamp or Siblu (Haven Europe). Even Canvas are cheaper than those companies for almost identical tents and mobiles.
https://www.selectcamp.nl / https://www.selectcamp.co.uk are cheaper still.
You could always opt for a French gite instead as they are great value for money - try "Chez Nous" brochure for independent gite owners then look them up on Gites de France lists.
Another option is to find a site you like in a Eurocamp brochure then rent a mobile or tent direct from the campsite - the campsites often buy last year's mobiles from companies like Eurocamp so not all mobiles are rust buckets.0 -
I have booked a holiday for this summer with Canvas Holidays as they were substantially cheaper than Eurocamp, Siblu etc.
We opted for the tents (they look really big and have electric/kitchen/seperate beds etc) but they do the mobile homes too - the Tents were quite a bit cheaper though. Also they had more avaiability than the other companies.0 -
Just had a quick check and they have a week in the Vendee on 5th August for 7 nights in a tent for £774 inc. ferry crossing. Don't know if the campsite is any good and I'm sure you could probably get it cheaper by changing the dates and area.
Don't forget to think realistically about the distance from the port to the campsite. Canvas Holidays allow you to take one night stops at some of their campsites and that is what we have done on the way there and the way back.0 -
Give Frenchlife a try especially if you have clubcard points 'cause you can use 'em for money off. Or Iaim Mearns is cheap tooPanda on My Shoulder
If you can make it cheaper do so. If it's not reduced, in Primark, off ebay or free I can't have it :rotfl:0 -
we found the opposite and have booked with keycamp as they were much cheaper than eurocamp and canvas for the same dates / accom etc
you need to check them all out i think0 -
We booked with Leisure direction and found them on the same campsite but cheaper than key camp.0

Try Europarcs just booked a week in Villanova Spain for first week of June for £250 including ferry crossing. and a caravan upgrade includedAiming to be debt free....but still off target0

You should try all the companies, as it depends on the week you want, the site etc. Once you decide on what site you to stay at, then try all the companies. What is cheaper for one family is not for another.0

When we went, a couple of years ago, we booked with French Freedom Holidays:

They have fewer sites than some of the larger companies, but we reckon we saved about £200 by booking with them.
