Hi,
I'd like to buy another 512 RAM card for PC (taking it to 1Mb Ram), but I'm not sure if I need a certain type ?
Any pointers as to type and price pls.
Cheers.

Hey u guys are great
PC is 18 months old. Win XP, 2.5 gig speed, 512 RAM size
I went to that site 'alias' and downloaded the scan software (don't u just luurrve tinternet)......it told me I currently have 'Non-Parity' DDR PC2700 (whatever that means).
I only have one slot free so maybe I'll go for 1 gig making a total of 1.5 Gig RAM or should I stick with 512 Mb in the second slot
And now the real reason for being here.....where do I get the best price

While not the cheapest, I would buy with Crucial. They offer excellent cust services and will get the RAM sent out by special delivery as part of the price. If you buy using Quidco, Rpoints, etc you will get some % off. There are also several discount vouchers floating around for Crucial."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0

Agree with pin. Not the cheapest but definately good service and quality memory. I live in the back of beyond and they delivered to me extremely quickly.
Aftersales service is good too, so if you have a problem installing or any query then they're happy to help in my experience.
Look in the Vouchers Board further down for discount codes.

By the way guys, that scan I did said my 'Front side speed bus' was 133Mhz......any idea what that is.......does that seem low to anyone
Edit: Just emailed Quidco this......
Dear Quidco,
I wanted to buy a memory upgrade for my pc and just tried this link from your site to get 7% back at Crucial Technology http://www.quidco.com/visit/1585/CJ/cashback/ and it redirected to a page that wouldn't display here: http://www.kqzyfj.com/click-1699685-10401721?SID=24582
Please advise.
PS: I haven't already been to the 'Crucial' website so there was no need to delete my cookies.you know when you're getting older - the wife says, "let's go upstairs and make love" and you reply, "I can't do both" !!0 -

This would be fine, just means your RAM would be running slower than its max speed.0 -
