Sarah I was just reading your list of things your boys need to make for Christmas and they sounds so similar to my two - cubs/drama/and an obsession with Dr Who!!
last summer we went to a Dr Who day in Lanchester (County Durham) where they had Colin Baker, Terry Maloy and whoever played the brigadier. From looking at Colin Baker's website he goes to various venues round the country - there might be one near you. Mind you it cost a fortune - they have you over a barrel don't they!!

think I will keep that one to myself or the boys will want to go - regardless of how far it is!

mum2one - I like the new name for the thread, its much easier now to find both of the thrifty threads.

I have done quite well today. Went to the town this morning and found a foam sleeping mat for camping in the 99p store which daughter needs for her camp next month. Now need to find a reasonably priced sleeping bag unless I can borrow one.

Also had a sort out of my gifts I have bought or made and put them in boxes and put everything together. All the Christmas ones are in two boxes, the birthday ones in another box and my daughters bits in a separate box. OH's gifts are in yet another box "hidden" amongst my craft stuff until nearer the day when I will cover the box with wrapping paper. His gifts are all wrapped up.

I sorted out the bits I have for my 4 nieces, I knitted them a doll each, 1 blue, 1 lilac, 1 pink and 1 green (clothes on the dolls), then made a patchwork bag each in co-ordinating colours and made a make-up bag and tissue holder out of what was left. I also bought them each a small cross stitch set (to get them crafting), a bar of soap to match, a tiny doll, some fake tattoos and an altered notebook with their name on to match the colour of their bags/dolls. Today I put all their items in the bags to see whether it looked enough and the bags are quite full so I am really pleased. I printed out some rectangular tags and stuck them on those brown luggage tags with the string and they look really pretty, and tied one to each bag.

Also put the bits I had for my sisters in their bags too, they have the bracelets I made, altered notebooks with their names on and tissue holders to match their bags. I found a nice brown bead necklace which someone gave me so have put this in one sisters bag and will look out for another black or white one for the other sister.

All in all I feel very organised. Now waiting for the mini challenge later xx
