Amazon Prime Member Fee? Charged £48...

The "difference in price" for Prime accounts is likely because the item is being sold by different sellers. Prime accounts will default to item listings that are Prime-eligible - ie. those sold by Amazon or fulfilled by Amazon, so people can take advantage of their Prime membership benefits. There is nothing, however, to stop a Prime member from buying from sellers who aren't Prime-eligible where it is cheaper to do so. You would just have to navigate to the specific seller's page. This is everybody's fault but mine.0

Did you take screen dumps to prove it?
I didn't actually, perhaps I should have done, but I did note the different prices quoted beneath the first price (the alternative prices offered from differing sellers), as the next message suggests could have been the reason for the difference but was not, there was a £3 difference for the headline price being sold from Amazon itself.
If you think about it, who would generally find out if Amazon were charging different prices to people on a 30 day free trial for the PRIME account. It was the purest luck that me and my daughter went online together (her through her PRIME account) and me not having a PRIME account to find this discrepancy. Perhaps other people should test this for themselves.:)0 -
By the way, I have actually signposted this item to Martin Lewis's team so no doubt they may test this for themselves and if true will be only too happy to print the results.0

If YOU think about it what makes you believe you are the first person in the world of Amazon buyers to notice this? Or is it just an anomoly/price glitch? What do you think?0 -

I have no idea, just stating what we saw ! You don't have to believe me if you would rather believe that Amazon is whiter than white - considering they don't pay a penny in tax in the UK too ! They are business people for god's sake and in the habit of making maximum profits :rotfl:0 -

Got you in your first four words. If what you say is true you'll easily be able to reproduce it. Or perhaps it's as others say?0 -

As I don't use PRIME account and don't intend to, it doesn't affect me personally and I am not interested in reproducing it. My daughter is just going to ensure she orders outside of the PRIME Account for 30 days and then cancel it, she doesn't want it either. Only offered this experience for "other" people's info to check for themselves if they use it. If they don't want to check for themselves, that's up to them my dear, not my loss !:cool:0 -

You've experienced nothing. MSE on the other hand have experienced you talking nonsense.0 -

You are 'not interested in reproducing this'?? That's a good thing as you won't be able to. As others say, if there were 2 different prices then you must have been looking at 2 different sellers as this is the only possible way of this happening.
If it makes you feel better by being stubborn and ordering from amazon and not using a prime account then you are the only one that will lose out.
You use too many key phrases in your posts for us not to think this is just another 'amazon scam' group of posts.0
