Afternoon all! Just a quicky as I wasn't aware the site was back up and running and I have to dash soon for w*rk. I'm a bit annoyed at work - we hot-desk but because I do a lot of overtime, and the only other person who does that much happens to be my desk-buddy who does the morning shift, I end up at every desk but my own! It's annoying having to drag my head-set and manuals around, and it means I can't see any of the bits of important info I've taped up on my board, and I always end up logging on to the phone and computer late. So last Friday I persuaded my boss to let me have the spare desk instead. I moved all of my stuff over there, got my board and the layout just the way I like it...then got in yesterday to find someone else had nicked it (despite her knowing I would be in and there being two other desks free) so I still ended up anywhere  I can't be bothered to argue with her and I don't want to seem petty by complaining to the boss, but I wasn't best pleased. When I took my stuff back to my desk she said in her bossy voice 'do you like sitting here? I find it very noisy and distracting'. So I just stayed calm and sweetly suggested that she sit somewhere else in future, then :rotfl: I know it's nothing to what some people here are going through at the moment, but it annoys me more than it should so I badly needed to let off that steam!!!
Have just started to defrost some plaice for tea tonight, and put the rest of last night's stew into the freezer for another day. Also have to clean up some square tubs I scrounged from the newsagents - they're haribo penny sweet ones with lids and I thought they'd be useful so I couldn't let them throw them out! Other than that I haven't done anything I was planning to do this morning. Oh, well.
It's rainy here, but I don't mind. The garden will love it and I'm glad it's a little cooler for my trek to work.
I hope everyone has a good day x0 -
There is a terrific storm going on here, (south coast), thunder and lightning, and torrential rain, I was getting something out of the cupboard under the sink, and Little dog climbed in to hide, she hates thunder, every cupboard I opened she climbed into. I took some photos, will try to post later.
She is now under a small table in lounge covered in a blankey
There are now nasty smells coming from under blankey, I think its fright !!0 -
Awwww ((((hugs)))) to Redruby's little dog. I don't like thunderstorms either, so if it heads this way, I'll be joining her under a blankey.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Afternoon all!
Yet again I've been MIA! Still busy with diy - sigh! En suite is finally finished, and kids bathroom is being repaired next week - cracked sink being replaced with one that was taken out of en suite, and new flushing unit put in loo! Also having bath taps changed over to a shower unit - found one really cheap and heavily reduced in Homebase, so just need a shower screen now!
OS stuff is going on as usual - bread, yoghurt making, home cooking from scratch, star dropping is the biggest job at the mo, due to all the mess and dust! Painting the entire downstairs meant lots of sorting and tidying! Still need to clear utility properly and repaint and put up shelving - well oh will be putting up shelving, not me, I know my limits!
Lunch today for the kids was hm rolls with ham and cheese, fruit, mini cookies and yoghurt. For me it was curry, oh is making the most of his last day of hols and the fact that we have finished the en suite by playing golf, so he'll eat there!
Dinner tonight will be sausage pasta - leftover bbq sausages and pasta salad will be turned into a dish together and a dash of passata and herbs and we're away!

Hello everybody,
Didn't get on yesterday so don't know what's happening, will try to catch up later.
Lunch out to-day with a friend who brought me some of her raspberries.....there is only her and she finds it hard to keep up, doesn't like to freeze them.
Bought a new charger for my camera on ebay to-day....I know that the other one is in the house somewhere but can't for the life of me find it, used some of my Quidco money that has been sitting in my PayPal account for just such an emergency!
Raining here on and off, a little cooler, must pick some broad beans to-morrow, might put them in freezer as there are lots more coming....also have a mini yellow tomato just ripe, will treat myself to that at some time to-morrow I think.
Have had some clothes on line since yesterday, must go out and see if there is anything that could come in and go on banisters on landing to finish off, need to change a bed to-morrow so want to have some space on line.
Hugs to all in need or want, welcome to newbies, congratulations to all who are celebrating
