Morning All!
Had a bit of a disturbed night, just got back to sleep when BANG, a huge clap of thunder woke me up! Very grey and wet here today. Looks like Saturday is going to be the same, and we've got a festival down here too.:o
DD sees the midwife today, we shouuld get it all confirmed today!:T They are both happy about it now, so am I, I just hope they can manage financially.
DS rang me four times yesterday. He's spoken to me more in two days than when he was living here!:rotfl: He may have found a job already, so that's good.
Cleaned his room thoroughly yesterday, filthy!
Have a great day!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Good Morning to all and Hi to all who follow,
Have to take DD3 to fracture clinic this afternoon, hopefully will be given the all clear. She will miss more school which is not good. She is in the school production and has a lead part with a singing solo and a duet with the her leading man! So she needs to miss less and attend more!
I am off to have coffee with a friend we are going to Costa and have a look round the shops for a while.
Breakfast was poached eggs on toast
Lunch will be more scrummy salmon sandwiches
Tea will be Corned Beef Hash - if I do it I do the dry version with fried onion and mashed potato all mixed up and put in the oven, if OH does it he does it has a stew in the pressure pan with potatoes and carrots and stuff!!!!
Everyone have a good day. hugs to all who need one.

Good morning (((((((Everyone))))))))
I have missed seeing all your smiling faces each day.
I seem to be having trouble finding a daily routine and getting into it since the move the end of April. Still OS cooking for the most part, yet not as much as I was doing. It seems I'm spending a lot of time wandering around, making lists of things needing done and getting little other than the basics done each day. :wall:
I thought I was finished the other flats except for painting the bathroom in flat 2 after the new shower etc were fitted. Wrong! Kitchen that was so nicely painted and all is going to have to be re-done. Mr kitchen designer paid no mind to existing plumbing and electrics etc (although I requested he please take that into consideration.) At this point those have been done.
After a discussion with the landlord, I'm stripping the wallpaper from the entire kitchen, re-skimming the plaster and wallpapering again. Bare patches of wall where the old cabinets were and will not be in the new design. I'm putting a nicely neutral coloured vinyl wallpaper up so no painting. Plus it's scrubbable which helps in a kitchen. I know I should be grateful for the additional work, yet I'm finding it hard to be right now. My flat still sits with none of the decorating done as of yet.
Sorry for the whinging and moaning. And if you made it through my long tirade, you deserve a medal.
Off here now to put a load of laundry in to wash. It will have to be dried on the airers today as the rain is on and off, and I've not managed to put any clotheslines up yet. Then I start stripping wallpaper. Starting to notice a "yet" pattern with everything here.
Hope everyone has as good of a day as possible today. Many gentle hugs for everyone and again I apologize for not keeping up.

:hello:'Morning All!
A quick hello as I am still in the other office today, so not as 'free' as I usually am to access the 'net!
Felt really grotty last nite - prob 'cos I was overheated in here all day - and had to go to bed when I got home .
Got up about 7.30pm and made a 'chuck it together' pasta sauce with leftover tomatoes from Sunday's salad, bacon bits which were just on their date and a jar of just-out-of-date cook-in sauce;)...topped with grated cheese it tasted fine (and DH never knew!:D).
Cooked extra pasta to have cold with tuna & mayo for lunch tomorrow
I actually had to throw out some cheese which was on the turn though :eek:GGRRR! - normally I just cut off any manky bits, but this was cheshire and had white furry mould on it - and being PG I need to be careful what I am eating I guess! Still finding it hard to get my head around TBH! Seeing the GP tomorrow morning and 1st scan a week on Thurs - bit of a worrying time :undecidedas last time I started to M/C a couple of days before the scan, so trying to take things very easy ATM. Have a Mtg this evening of a voluntary group I am involved in, which is likely to be very stressful as we have a kind of 'takeover bid' from some relatively new members who are trying to change the direction of the group . Ah well, guess we'll cope somehow!
Have a good day everyone!

Not been on here for a few days, so missed what has been going on with people. Did read the thread yesterday morning but didn't get chance to post.
Tired Mum - hope they find the oiks that damaged your car.
I went to see Take That at Wembley on Sunday - oh my goodness they were fab!!! We were very money saving when we got there, had a cheap meal in Ikea, then left the car there (its free :T) and walked to the stadium. Found they were giving out boxes of cereal with coupons on (I'm a coupon addict!) and me and friend managed 65 coupons between us!!! Once the concert finished, by the time we walked back to the car there was hardly any traffic and we just hopped onto the North Circular then hit the M1. If you don't mind a walk, I would definitely advise parking at Ikea for Wembley.
Anyway, done very little OS wise for days really. It was my long week at work last week, with Sunday off for Take That. Off yesterday and today, but all sorts of little jobs to do like taking foster cat to the vets, DS to the orthodontist etc. Just don't know where the time goes.
So, I should really stop rambling and get on with tidying my house, which is a tip. However, I can guarantee I won't and will sit on the computer for ages!!
Hope everyone has a nice day.0 -
Well, the yorkshire pudding was disgusting
. Oily, tasteless, soggy... I've never cooked it before
so I can't pretend to be an accomplished yorkie maker. I'll just blame it on the rice milk

Afternoon all.
Haven't been on for a couple of days, so if I've missed any celebrations, I hope they were enjoyable.
Went to a Mensa regional day on Saturday, after we'd been to Northampton for the car service - shan't do another one. It was so nerve-wracking (at least for me) and I was totally exhausted by the time we got home, even though we left quite early.
Visited the Anglian Wolf Society on Sunday - lovely to see my lupine friends again.
So the upshot was nothing got done at the weekend.
Spent yesterday trying to catch up, in between falling asleep on my feet. Managed to replenish the bread roll supply and make an apple pie though, so Mr LW isn't going hungry.
Next task on the list is try and de-limescale the bathroom tiles (yet again). Our water is soooo hard here.
Didn't get chance to get to Sainsbugs in Northampton to look for a compost crock, as we ran out of time and would've been late for the Mensa do, so I'm still managing with a not-very-elegant empty margarine tub on the draining board.
Oh well, better get off my butt and go tackle the Limescale Demons.:pIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
