The laser ones are better as its the mobile cameras that are the most likely to get you, not the GATSO fixed cameras:rotfl:I must, I must, get my post average up to 1 a day!!0 -
Thanks everyone for all your help.
As i see it there is nothing wrong with use a GPS camera detector. I plan to use this as a driving aid, not speeding around.
I'm sure everyone that uses this site and drives have been driving on the motorway through an average speed zone and has noticed they have sped up with the flow of traffic.
Anyway back to my original question.
I looked into the GPS Rider and found a website called staycon.co.uk that would give me a discount for trading in my old satnav that i don't really use. I paid £79.99 which is a good price and saved £30. I didn't send the satnav back and i haven't had an e-mail or phone call asking for it, so i think i have got away with it.
I have been using the Rider for 2 weeks and it has been really good.
I also looked into the beatthespeedtrap site that was mentioned and from what i have read with be staying well away from them. From what other reviews have been saying the director Adam Blair who has taken over another speed camera company called Talex, has been taking the money for the units and not sending them the products. I decided to stay well away from both sites.
Once again cheers for everyones help, i think this forum has saved me quite a few pounds.0
