No EXTRA charge, because the cost is already built into your Council Tax Bill. The more people that pay this way the higher your bill will be - you don't think the council are paying the commission out of their pocket do you ?

You get 1% ? If everyone pays like this your bill goes up by 3 to 5% - bargain ?

It is not just the council tax, every place that accepts a credit card will probably include the charge into pricing. How else do you expect Tesco (or anybody else) to charge the same price if you pay cash, use a debit card or credit card?

And if it is already included in the pricing why not take advantage of using the card? Why subsdise someone else by not using your card and also giving up the "small" cashback as well?
