Is anyone experiencing problems with madasafish ? For the last few weeks my internet connection keeps cutting out or runs incredibly slowly. Then at other times it is fine.Very frustrating,i will get onto them but just wondered if it was them,my computer or something else.

Plug your router into your Master test socket and post your router statistics. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Our computer friend who knows a lot more than me about these things,is coming over tomorrow,i shall ask him to do so!
But why would it be so inconsistent? Surely if there was a problem my end it would always be slow or cutting off?0 -
I've been having similar problems with my AOL connection. But I believe they are cutting back my connection because I download a lot of data despite being on a unlimited package, but they have an apparently 'fair use' policy.
I read an article form the BBC a couple of weeks ago about this, that nearly all providers cut back user's speeds during peak times for high data using applications such as video streaming or downloading movies.0 -
I'm experiencing the same problem as Froglet. I wish someone could help us.0

jesse are you with madasafish as well? It would at least be reassuring to know it wasn't a problem with my router or computer.
Demondoctor,i never download anything,i just like to look at ordinary sites but it slower than dial up at times!! It is driving me mad.0 -

Well, after almost 2 hours of various tests our mate, who built our computer and does advanced computer work for a living, has concluded that it is probably a fault on the upstairs line we have had our router plugged into for the last 3 years.Up to a few weeks ago there was no problem but now we have changed everything over and plugged it into the master socket downstairs. It has improved considerably already. He is also going to install a new wireless router for us at the end of the week.
When we switched on tonight,it was downloading at 3.07 mb/s but dropped to 1.68 then to .66.Kept cutting out then returning.
Since placing downstairs(and the reason we didn't do that originally is because we don't have a working electric socket in the hall)so we have rigged up an extension lead at present,it tests slow speed still but it seems a lot better and has dropped connection briefly just the once. Also the computer is upstairs anyway.
The new router, from plus net is obviously newer technology and he thinks that in itself could help.
I will keep you posted.
Another thing he noticed is that the stats for the router showed that the ip address kept changing which is most odd!!0 -
I'm experiencing the same problem, it was downloading at 4.07 mb/s but dropped to 1.48..0
