    G. for me, I try to keep about a months wages available as a standby the rest goes into regular savers which get transferred into ISA's or other long-term accounts annually.
I have had a £100 overdraft available to me for over 20 years but never had the need to tap into it.

Mine fluctuates wildly as I dont have a regular income,self-employed you see.It varies between about £3k in credit and my max overdraft limit of £2,500.In o/d at the minute unfortunately.
The longest I have been in o/d for is 3 months in a row.

Poll part 2 - how many people have answered the poll and then gone and actually checked their account to see if they were right!?
I checked my spreadsheet before answering the poll.

I aim to have enough in to cover the expected bills and an emergency cash withdrawal.

My C/A is linked to my offset mortgage so it doesn't matter if the balance goes high.

I am totally agog that 11% of people have over 5k in their current account. (or any account to be honest)

H for me... Is it sad I know the balance to the penny in my main current account without checking? :o:confused: Don't answer that lol!

£35.60 (grocery budget for Fruit/veg/dairy for the rest of the month)
£12.72 + £5 + 13 (direct debit stragglers! - most come out at the beginning of the month)
£50 (just in case money - so if I need cash for something I don't have to go online and transfer it before I go to the bank. Basically so I don't use my overdraft and pay interest on it if I need money unexpectedly!)
    = £116.32!

Basically I don't get interest in this account so everything gets chucked into my ISA / savings accounts ASAP after payday leaving enough for DDs and groceries etc! Everything else either gets paid for with my Credit card (and paid off in full every month just after payday) or I Fast payment/transfer the money into this account shortly before I need it if I need cash. Works for me!
    Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

fluctuates between £2500 at the beginning of the month (on purpose) to about £500 at the end of the month. Never more that 2500 as I have an A&L account paying 6% up to £2500. Usually, 2500 on 24th (pay day), £700 on 1st when all the bills come out, 500 on 23rd!

What ever is left over before pay day goes into cash ISA until full, then lump sums onto mortgage to complement regular payments of what ever is left (usually nothing!!)

I too have an A&L 5% current account and, as this is the best interest paying account I have, I siphon out of my savings acc (2.75%) into my current to always keep £2500 in there.

I voted C, but after my new car arrives, it will reduce to E or F.
