Ebay and paypal scam

Well after years of using eBay, someone has just managed to scam me. DAZZLER12375. Please do not bid on anything from him. He rejects your initial payment via paypal, then you pay again. It too rejects, the email is nice stating something must be up, so he asks to use the send money to his email tab. This is the key, it takes you out of the paypal buyer protection loop, making it simple for him to not send goods, and after 15 days of waiting, paypal close the case and you have no refund. He basically closes his account down. So here it is, see how long someone has been trading, in the case of Dazzler12375 less than one month. Great feedback through 99p purchases, but limited sales, so if a payment rejects, go elsewhere. Dazzler12375 from Kent UK, congratulations on scamming, but you will be found, someone who has sold you something has your address, and hopefully they will name and shame you here.

Actually I paid with Paypal, via link in eBay. Contacted them already, what Dazzler12375 has done is find a loophole. He sells an item. You pay with link from eBay. He rejects it, you pay again with link through eBay. He contacts you, via eBay messages stating something must be up, and asks kindly if you would send payment to the email address he has stated. Now he's a verified member, 100% feedback, at the time, and you assume eBay has something wrong with paying, it has happened to me as a seller that payments have to be claimed or get rejected, so you on't see it coming. That's it. He then has your cash, Paypal state their terms as 'outside eBay' transaction they will try to recover, but never do. He know's this. I'm trying to raise this issue so buyer's on eBay do not make the mistake I did, and also no one buys from Darren Wood. (Dazzler12375).

That is the scam, I am not protected, Paypal have done there review and decided the claim in my favour, but cannot or will not refund me as it is classed as 'sent payment to email address'

This is a very common scam, once you buy 'off ebay' you get less paypal protection. You are still covered though for items not received as long as you make the correct claim, however if seller has cleared out their funds you get nothing.

Yup, cleared their funds. Item not recieved, huge company, individuals lose out. Please everyone read and remember!

And, of course, eBay recently changed the feedback rules in the scammers' favour - no more negative feedbacks, apparently.
