And the charity concerned was not one of the big national "Lets spend all our revenue on paying ourselves and advertising how good we are" ones. Hmmm, - I doubt it, but then again I'm a sceptical sod anyway!
Also, if what Thorntonsgal said is right then let 'em stick their fingers in a few times. With gooey chocolate at 158 degrees they could text all their mates while they are on their way to A&E and tell them not to do it. Word would soon spread.
Our local shopping mall doesn't give ANY pitches away for free, even the charities are charged. I'm sure this is not an isolated case either. When it comes to thought, some people stop at nothing.........0 -

Eeeek! I was once in the loos in Sainsburys washing my hands and trying not to listen to the person in the stall who was having a very bad tummy upset! She eventually came out and it was a Sainsbury's employee. She didn't wash her hands and just walked straight into the cafe and immediately started serving food! I changed my mind about having something to eat!0 -
UUUUGGH What horrible stories!!!
I hate eating stuff on display etc! People still talk near it and spray comes from their mouth etc.....Angel

It had a sign up saying that if you stuck your fingers (or anything else!) in the fountain it would cost you £400 as they would have to stop, empty, clean and sterilise it.
I work for thorntons in manchester and it is true about the £400 but now most of the stores as far as i know have a screen in front of the fountain, mainly because all the school kids would come in while you were busy and just stick their fingers in.
It always worked though the kids soon left when they heard that.0 -
Changing the subject totally ....... I used to work for an airline and one of the passengers was sick down the toilet and lost her teeth. The engineers mangaged to find them for her and returned them in a tissue - she said thank you and popped them straight back in!!!!!!! :rotfl:0

Kevan,
Why are you just going round replying to very old threads?
I would also be very careful about making the above comments about large retailers. They are potentially libellous.
Very strange ...
dmg, I had just read through all this thread without realising how old it was! How bizarre0 -
Maybe kevan cant see the fact that each post is datedNo Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20
