    Hi Miamoo,

I don't think dry dog food make skin problems, there are many aspects should consider

if the dog is alergic to storage mites then yes.
If the food is open for more than 3 months the protien source is dentaured and can cause problems -and is stale yuk!

ANY food can cause problems like us!
If you honestly think that it is the food - which it might be then the only dermatlogical and eveidence based rule is a food trail- where you basically detox your pet. see if his skin clears up! the try differnt sources of protein(which are the nastys in terms of true food alergies) to see which one is the problem- Or after the trail go onto a "novel" protien diet. i.e a food that contains 100% protien from a source that your pet would have never have eaten so could not have developed a problem. These are usually expensive as most foods - even burns-james welbeloved( I am afraid) contain traces of other meat derivitives. A great one is venison and pea!

It might be worth trying to eliminate grain from her diet. Unfortunately UK pet food manufacturers are somewhat behind their American counterparts.

Try having a look at Orijen or Taste of the Wild.

Both are available from https://www.zooplus.co.uk and are vastly superior to anything on the UK market.

Another vote for Arden Grange. The Ex and I had a lab-x with skin problems, it turned out that he had an allergy (? intolerance certainly) to wheat. Not that we worked it out until after numerous steroid treatments ... He stayed on Arden Grange food for the remaining 8-or-so years of his life.
