Afternoon my lovelies. Haven't much much flying :D:D
    s/s as usual
    2 loads wm
    hung out and dried
    stripped bed
    showered
set off to Ripon as we 'won' a Rest Assured fold out bed for the grand total of £10.50!! Immaculate condition. Had to buy for small bedroom as DD1 had ruined the bed along with the carpet/walls etc. Need it for if we ever get DH daughter stopping, she was coming first week of hols, but she's changed her mind. 13 going on 19 and a right madam to boot. But we just smile, text/ring/post pm on facebook/send her extra money as and when she demands and hope one day she will alter.

Lovely going back to Ripon cos that's where we got married in January this year. Made the most of it and had lunch out aswell. Remembers - Greenbee - glad wedding went really well, I and everyone else needs a piccy of the cake.

Prepared veg for tea - only chicken pie as only DH and me in, but we arn't hungry yet

Sorted some of the clutter airing cupboard of doom- that is definately going to be one of my challenges - though may take up all 5 challenges as I can stand in the blooming thing :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well not so good this week (sorry Toots :D) only achieved Level 1 each day.... BUT did get the whole family sorting out 2 x Room(s) of Doom aka the Kids Rooms. So far each week I've avoided the Friday lists cos I've not been able to see their floors let alone do any cleaning in there. Big achievement for our household Chox
Choccy not sure by your post if you have completed the kids rooms but since you are relatively new and have had a family day and attacked 2 rooms of doom I have given you the friday star for effort!!:T

Thanks! It's actually unbelievably simple to make... just very heavy!

Stew the rhubarb with a bit of orange juice and some fresh ginger. You can then have it with yogurt for breakfast/lunch/supper or any time in between. It also freezes well (must go and get some out of the freezer as I have no food in the house... thanks for the reminder!).

Blackberries - personally I'd eat them all fresh - on my muesli for breakfast, or with yogurt at/between other meals! Otherwise stew with the apples and freeze for later in the year.

The two together would make a lovely jam.
If you have any apples, stew an apple and a stick of rhubarb till cooked but not soggy then whizz up with some custard. According to my NN this is lush.

Stew the rhubarb and freeze in small portions, ready to pop into a steaming bowl of porridge in the winter.

    Blackberry and apple jam
    Rhubarb and ginger jam

Freeze the blackberries whole and use to add to cereals etc. during the winter.

Blackberry pickle - I have a recipe if you want
