how long should you wait after you have sent letter req that they reconsider?not received final response letter from them yet.
Hi Trish
For a SAR its 40 days - straight, so when they receive the request, check on track and trace (Royal Mail Website) and take 40 days from there, some go from the date of the letter, but myself have always taken it from the date I seen it received as shown on track and trace.
Then when it comes to reclaiming its 8 weeks in full.
For CCA requests it should be 12 days.
Just thought I would write them all so you know.:D
If you don't hear by the 40 days with the SAR request, ring them, or send them a reminder letter, give them about 7 days, then if they still have not sent the SAR request, contact the ICO. (Information Commissioners Office).
Back to reclaiming, 8 weeks is ample time, it may be that they will write to you last minute, and tell you that they need more time.
You can then though if you heard nothing at all, go to the FOS.
Hope this helps Trish.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi Trish
If this is not the final response ask them if they can consider a reasonable amount as your not happy with that offer, and of course you have the FOS if they do not do this for you good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Cool this is a good start then.;)
Some though go from the day they have received your SAR, so maybe go from there as well, they have a straight 40 days from there basically.
If you posted by recorded delivery, check out the day on the tracking from the Royal mail website.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

update on this long saga is that cap 1 have written to me regarding my sar stating that if i could give them dates they would happily provide me with the transcripts, took them up on their kind offer and requested the date that was relevant to my case.heard back from them saying that they def do not have transcripts from date requested.have written to the dept dealing with my claim stating that although in their letter they state that they have offered evidence which proves ppi was not mis-sold no evidence has been produced.that was 8 wks ago.Do i ask them now for their full and final response so that i can move this on?would really like to ut and end to it.0
