Ruined stainless steel hob

If the baby oil doesn't work, CIF do a cleaning stuff specifically for stainless-steel and it is magic! Be careful to only use the tiniest amount at a time though (a bottle will last ages - I've had mine 3 years now and still only halfway through!).

hi,
Well I tried the babyoil and its not worked at all..................
I will have a walk to Morrisons sometime and see if I can get some of the CIF stuff .....
I have never even heard of Lakeland but have had a swizz at the website but the postage seems a bit excessive. Hopefully the above will work.
Thanks

Which spray cleaner did you use? Anything containing ammonia will react with the stainless steel.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

After reading some of your comments, we tried a product called PEEK...a silver cleaner purchased from a shoe repair shop.
The results were amazing. It takes a bit longer, because you have to aply the product a tiny bit at a time, polish and buffet it...and then do it again, but...nobody believes it is the same hob we ad stored in the shed for5 tears. Absolutly amazing stuff.0 -
