*** Help *** Orange offer Sept 2004

Orange £50 Credit off in Sept 2004

I am currently having a battle with Orange to get the £50 credit that was on offer for online sign-ups in September. They are now saying it wasn't available for the tariff I selected. Did anybody else sign up for the £15 p.m contract which included 120 mins + 30 texts and get the £50 credit.

Thanks

Darrin

Hello, I signed up for this tariff and received the promotional offer no problem.

£50.00 credit for me, credited to first bill and £25.00 for mum for recommmending me to Orange.

Tell me more of why they wont credit you..
  • At the moment they are saying they have no knowledge of the offer and have to pass it to a different team, "The web team", as it was an online offer. They need to check back in their system to see what offers they had when I took out the contract.

When they come back with "Sorry there was no offer" I would like to be able to say that I know of other people who did get the £50.

I think the offer I has is different to the introduction offer you are referring to as this was direct at https://www.orange.co.uk.

    Cheers

    Darrin,

I had exactly the same problem with them. The customer service team told me the offer didn't exist then asked me to fax a print out of the web page to them.

I told them I refused to believe Orange didn't have a record of their own offers so I was put on hold while they went to speak to the "Direct Sales Web Team". Eventually they agreed I should get the £50 but it took 3 months of phone calls.

In fact, I still don't have the £50. They credited it minus VAT so I got £42 instead. Still trying to fight that but getting nowhere.
  • I don't think you'll have any joy with this. I was looking for a phone for my g/f at around that time and saw this offer. However the £50 off deal only applied to "Your plan" tariffs, whereas the £15 a month is a promotional tariff so doesn't count. However the normal rate for the Your plan tariff with 120 mins is £25 a month, so you're actually making a saving of £120 over your contract.
