I'm the Tuesday night as well Row T.
I think we should get Billy to ask for all the forum members to stand up so we can applaud each other.

Still not happy with the situation and gutted for the people on here that still don't have tickets.
Hopefully an extra date will happen.

Yeah, gutted for people myself Dixie...

We should all wear t-shirts/badges "I conqured Usher halls box office" and the length of time we tried to get through for...:D

If I hear of anyone selling tickets ill post a message here first.

No that's not a bad idea, I bet the majority of people there would be wearing them.
Can you imagine if news got to Billy and it was mentioned on the night and we all stood up....they should call the Usher Hall Manager in just to see that.

Well, believe it or not, one of my friends is related to Billy Connolly thru marriage, and although we have been friends for a very long time, I would NEVER go down the route of "could you possibly get me tickets" I have always bought them myself, and never taken advantage of the fact she could get them, but I am sure I might be able to get word out to the main man about this fiasco!!!

Can you imagine it.........the whole place would errupt in laughter as half of us would be there! :rotfl:

I've just had a reply to my complaint to the Usher Hall.

    "
First, let me take this opportunity to apologise for the problems you experienced when attempting to book tickets for Billy Connolly at the Usher Hall. The service was severely affected by a hardware failure which coincided with these events going on sale. The box office has in the past had to deal with both big events going on sale and system failures, but when the two things happened at the same time, it proved to be an extremely difficult situation to manage. However, I would like to assure you that the Usher Hall will shortly be carrying out a systems audit and reviewing its contingency planning to ensure they are better prepared for the future.
With regard to you other point, some tickets were available online before the advertised time and I can only apologise for that. It was the result of human error and as soon as we realised this mistake, we pulled back tickets that were allocated to agents to ensure that those people who got though to us first after the "official" on sale time, still got good seats.
Thank you for taking the time to contact us and pass on your feelings, as we do believe all feedback, good or bad, is an important thing. In closing I can only apologise again for the poor service we gave on this occasion. "
