Billy Connolly tickets for Glasgow/Edinburgh *sold out*

i can't believe i've spent nearly 7 hours on the phone, i don't live close enough to edinburgh to get to ripping in time and the ticket scotland website crashed on me...yet ebay have loads of tickets if your willikng to shell out £100 for one ticket thats worth £30.. i think the tickets on ebay should be cancelled and re-sold on the door..

i agree that the ebay tickets should be closed down and cancelled.
Iv now been on the phone in total......13 hours! hope i dont have a huge phone bill or the usher hall is getting it posted to them!

Just realised, getting tickets for the MJ Memorial was quicker than this, and they are supposed to be the hottest tickets in the entire world, not just Scotland!!!!

3 hrs from Edinburgh, so Ripping and Rose Street not an option for me. Redialling still ...........

well thats me, no tickets ... i'm gutted, completely and I hope those people on ebay are going to get bad karma 10 fold for ripping people off and denying people the chance to see Billy .. good luck to all of you who can still call in or pop round to ticket scotland and ripping, I hope you get tickets and have a great time

Keep going people, I had been ringing all day and eventually got through to the Usher Hall about half an hour ago, got stalls seats for Wednesday and the girl was very chirpy and helpful considering how busy she must have been today!! She said there was plenty of seats left but Wednesday had the best availablility - keep ringing - it's so worth it when you finally get through!!

Also - one complaint - £3 booking fee PER TICKET?? What a flaming cheek!!

From Edinburgh Guide:

Edinburgh City Council has announced that tickets for Billy Connolly gigs at the Usher Hall will now be available from other ticketing outlets in the city. The box office system crashed yesterday after tickets for the gigs in September went on sale at 10am.
Councillor Deidre Brock, Culture Convenor, announced: "We are working extremely hard to restore online ticket sales as soon as possible. The problem has now been identified as being a computer hardware fault. Once this fault has been rectified, we will resume online sales through the Usher Hall website."

She added: "In the meantime, Billy Connolly tickets are available via the box office telephone number and our Usher Hall staff are working flat out to take bookings. We will be staffing the phone lines from 9am until 6pm and tickets can also be purchased from Ripping Records and Tickets Scotland."

10 probably wasn't enough to get them all in. But thought I'd have got funny looks getting any more! Such is the wonder of Billy Connolly. 5 mates, sister and bf, mum and dad. Everyone wants to see him!
