This challenge used to run every week (thanks to Moozie and PAP) but I have not seen it in a while so I hope no one minds but I need this to keep me on track ...

Hello everyone a010.gif. Welcome to the weekly spend challenege. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.

On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track.

This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever. clapping.gif

Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anything else. Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!! Moozie x

Good luck everyone.:T

    Morning all,

Last week I lost track after Thursday, but I am sure I went over the £40 but not by too much but that stll makes me red for the week.

Anyway I am going for £40 again this week if I make it I am going to reduce it next week and I will see where to go from there. This amount will include any incidental spends but not groceries or anything budgeted elsewhere.

    Happy budgeteering :j

  • Morning,

Thank you for carrying this on PP.

I will once again try to keep within budget this coming week. I've got to take DD to hospital on Thursday so apart from that I am aiming to keep hold of my money and have some left by Friday.

I again pledge £25 for the week :)

Hoping to spend nothing except my hair cut on Thursday and my friends birthday meal on Saturday, both of which have been budgeted for. It's gonna be a hard one!

Hopefully should come in well under target, me and my mum are going shopping today, BUT she wants to put it all on her card to get the points so I can pay her back in installments....got to love my Mum :D

I'm going to try for £30 for the week. Not sure how this will work out as we are going into town on Monday for some meetings about the alterations we are planning to make to the house. Busfare, coffee, possibly lunch. Wednesday will also need busfare.

    Evening all,

I have had a busy day of cinema going I went to see two films today which has kept me out of spending mischief and I have an evening (well probably couple of hours max) of cleaning and tidying to do.

I have updated the first post. Let me know if I have missed anyone.

    :hello:Hi pointypenguin and everybody else!
I would like to join if I can. :D

I have had an expensive week this past week so really need to reign in the spending for the next few weeks. I will aim for £10 on incidental spending.
