Ryanair. Is total price really total price?

My original post was just wanting to know whether the price system was totally transparent. It still isn't as far as I'm concerned. That's why I tend to go with other airlines when I can.
What's not transparent about being told the total price before your card is charged?
British Airways have been charging a 'fuel surcharge' for years now which is very untransparent - even more so after they were found guilty of price fixing with Virgin.I just wanted a bit of help with what exactly is owed.
At the final screen before confirming your booking, you'll get the total price displayed.I get fed up with 'total' when it blatantly isn't.
Yes, I could go 'round the houses and check the small print, but I would much rather just have a straight-forward payment system where total means total, even if I pay a bit extra for it. EasyJet etc make their profit on simple people like me.
You might want this, but those of us that are savvy enough to use a computer and read would rather pay as little as possible. Easyjet are also notorious for adding on baggage and travel insurance by default - something Ryanair doesn't do.From Poland...with love.
They are (they're) sitting on the floor.
Their books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.0 -
On the'first' booking page you get 'total price'( flights plus baggage), then you have to type in your email address. Why do I want Ryanair to get my eamil address if I still havn't gotten to the very last page of booking?
I would be typing in my email address before getting the very last price which includes handling fees etc.
Surely I should have a list of everything I am charged for BEFORE giving me the 'total', and BEFORE wanting my contact detais?0 -

The only charges that can be added after the stage where you enter your email address are the payment charges. These are not included in the "total" because they don't know how much the payment charges will be until you get to the payment stage. Easyjet works in a similar way.
If you really want to get a final price, you can enter any old nonsense for your email address etc.... it's not like Ryanair is going to send anything to the address unless you make a payment.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0
