Ryanair. Is total price really total price?

Have just looked at Ryanair for the first time in ages.
Just to see what was available," booked " two adult seats, return, Stanstead to Zweibrucken, last week of August. £1 Each, each way, total £4.
I then added a suitcase each, £20 x 2 = £40
My total is £44.
Is this all I owe, or am I going to be stung with extra charges on the next page, after giving Ryanair my email, telephone number etc.?

credit/debit card fees unless you pay with Electron, online check in

So, i am going to have to pay online check-in £5 each way = £10
Payment handling fees £5 x 4 = £20
So my £44 pound trip actually has £30 on top? Total £77
How can Ryanair say total price on one page, and then add more? I don't understand it???
And, what if I don't have internet access at the other end? Can I check in at a desk at the airport, and how much will that cost?
No wonder I prefer EasyJet.0 -
if you havent printed online and need a boarding pass at the airport its £400

Please can we stop all this Ryanair bashing. If you pay using a Visa Electron and only take hand luggage you can get some superb deals on flights. I have NEVER been riped off with Ryanair. These are the prices I have paid
(All flights from Birmingham)
2p return to Belfast, UK
£10 return from Dublin, Ireland
£40 return to Rome, Italy (with 1 suitcase and airport checkin)
£40 return to Berlin, Germany (with 1 suitcase and airport checkin)
£10 return to Krakow, Poland0 -

You will not have to pay on-line check in fees, as the special offer £1 fare includes free on-line check in. it also clearly states the fare is subject to possible handling fees, these are easily avoidable. Do you both really need a case? If not the total fare is £2 each, If you need cases it is £33.50 each surely nothing to moan about.0 -
I suspect that if Ryanair had made the up front price £50 with no extra fees then people would be happierpompeyrich wrote: »If you need cases it is £33.50 each surely nothing to moan about.0 -
If you don't have a visa electron you can use entropay to save on fees. See details on hotukdeals here.

I have also in the past, got a friend to print off the boarding pass and fax it to my hotel to avoid airport check in charges (plus time).
I have also got very good at packing and can now take just hand luggage. It is sometimes cheaper to buy things at our destination now and leave it there eg. beach towels, than pay lugguage fees. We are going to belfast for a few days in August and the total cost for 4 of us is £8 with Ryanair and 50p entro pay fees.0 -

Couldn't agree more, I usually pay no more than £1 TOTAL, often only 1p, I don't feel that I have been ripped off.0 -
You can print off your boarding passes up to 2 weeks in advance....I always print both before I leave home.0

Play by there rules and you can get very good prices, if you want bells and whistles on then simply use an airline that gives you that.0
