Don't forget many people who are struggling now have seen big changes of circumstances recently - loss of income etc and it does take time to adjust your finances and way of living to compensate.
Thats correct, both myself and my wife have full time jobs, the pay isnt fantastic but why should i get another job or my wife for that matter. Let me just tell you though i have previously had a second job. My current job that i do does not use the skills that i had trained for as a teenager, so I did use them several years ago, I worked in my present job 39 hours per week and my second job was on an evening and early morning doing another 20 hours plus per week. Now, doing this for several years (5 years infact) led me to become ill, infact all this work led me to contract pnuemonia and i was very ill for over 5 weeks. Why should i nearly kill myself to suvive. I could have had more money on benefits i suppose but thats not the way i want to live my life. We all need to live.
Also, this has gone off topic, i only want advice about the current thread topic. ThanksAll the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.0 -
So rather than get a second job to pay the bills etc you would rather try to claim back bank charges? How will this help when it could take ages with no gaurantee of even being successful with the claim. Even if successful how long before that money runs out and then what? Some people wont help themselves.0

If there are priority debt arrears and even if there isn't some banks are paying out interim payments which will ease hardship. It is not meant as a windfall but to clear debts. Simon, there is a lot of crap banded around hardship claims, which are specifically for priority debt arrears. Coupled with that ideally is a suspension of charges and interest so that the claimant can get a budget together without having it thrown out by bank charges. Not everyone does take this opportunity but some do.simon_templar wrote: »So rather than get a second job to pay the bills etc you would rather try to claim back bank charges? Some people need help from bank who "listen", provide "helpful banking" or even have given you "extra" before
