Because they don't have to pay out or negotiate while the OFT test case issues are still ongoing.

Yes i understand that. How come though others have had money back from HSBC, and if they have previously paid money back wouldnt they want to pay others back to at a lower rate rather then wait until the OFT has made a desision, or the courts.

Is it likely that the courts will be in our favour and banks will have to pay money back
All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.

Because other people have priority debt arrears and are struggling to make sure they do not lose their home.

If I didn't believe that the banks would or will lose I wouldn't be here helping.

Thanks very much for your help, I will give it a go, but at the end of the day if i dont get a settlement then i have to wait like lots of others.

One last question though, how long will the process take for this to be all sorted, and if/when we win what impact will this have on banks.

expected decision on HoL on the preliminary issues is from july to October. from there we move onto the substantive issues which is anyone's guess.

  • If a person is 'struggling' to make ends meet why not get a 2nd or even a 3rd job, whatever it takes to earn enough so that the ends do meet?

do you think people need to work all hours god sends to make ends meet.

It would be easier to go on the sick my friend and claim all the benefits.

no one should need to have more than one job in my opinion, fair enough if you want more than one, but you should be able to make end meet with one job.

Have to agree. A second job when trying to look after young kids and run a household is bloody difficult and even with one job with kids a massive chunk of your income goes to childcare and travel costs.

Don't forget many people who are struggling now have seen big changes of circumstances recently - loss of income etc and it does take time to adjust your finances and way of living to compensate.
