Returning a phone to 3

Having an absolute nightmare with 3 and their so called customer service. Upgraded to N97 for £27pm direct with retentions team. Having read what lying barstewards 3 are when it comes to offering deals over the phone i rang to confirm this price when the phone turned up. Lo and behold 3 denied ever having offered this deal. Upshot now is that im trying to return phone (unopened in box) to 3 but i am waiting for a returns envelope which 3 insist will take Royal Mail 5 days to deliver.That 5 days is now up and they refuse to order another. I have a horrible feeling that if 3 dont receive the phone back within 14 days they will bill me £369 for the phone even though i cant send it back without the returns envelope.Has anyone tried to return a phone to 3? did the returns envelope turn up? will 3 bill you if the phone isnt returned within 14 days?

a word of warning when it does finally go back get proof of posting and keep it forever even after three say they have your handset.

I've just returned 2 phones, both the envelopes arrived within two days of me requesting them, I've kept the receipts !

put them in a safety deposit box or something

I have argued the point that it doesnt take Royal Mail 5 days to deliver an envelope unless they are walking it from Glasgow. To no avail and i suspect it was never ordered in the first place as i had to get quite aggressive on the phone when insisting i was cancelling the contract and returning the handset to 3. I did actually receive a "thank you for staying with 3 letter" dated from the date i cancelled the contract.I dont believe a word anyone at 3 utters and i am now recording all phone calls in case i need to take them to the small claims court.

I just got a Blackberry bold 9000 from 3, 6 days later and hours spent on the phone to customer service my phone still want work on the Blackberry side, 3 customer service promised to call me back every day and never got a call back,
I returned the phone today and cancelled the contract
Would never go nr them again
