Doomcow i think if you have a google of the british humanist association you'll find all the info you need. There used to be a really excellent blog written by a humanist funeral celebrant too- not the same as a wedding obviously but it should give you an idea about the approach to ceremonies- it was called real e fun.Don't suffer alone - if you are experiencing Domestic Abuse contact the National Domestic Abuse Helplines

Doomy - you can add whatever you like to a civil ceremony so long as the legal bit is included. We had a friend to a reading and did the rose ceremony in ours and our guests thought it was lovely26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

From my understanding it's not 'anti God' but the rejection of the idea. Ifyou want any sort of religious language or blessings though you're probably better going for a civil ceremony and maybe adding our own content? I'm sure it'll be lovely however you decide to do it.
