Two working days is not long enough to organise viewings via e-mail. Even if the EA check their e-mails daily, they won't pick up until part way through Thursday, then need reply with properties, pick up your response on Friday, then need to try to contact vendors who may not be contactable at work! If you want to organise viewings at short notice it's sensible to do so by telephone.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
I gave up emailing, it did no good. Not one returned call in about 12 properties - even after a week!
So, did it all by phone. *Still* had to do half a dozen 'where are you?' callsDebt free 4th April 2007.

I don't really understand why EAs wouldn't check their emails, I check ours about 5 or 6 times a day for the branch email and have outlook running for my personal work email address in the background all the time. Some really good leads come through from rightmove, I'm baffled as to why some EAs think these aren't worth responding to!Scar tissue that I wish you saw, sarcastic mister know it all, close your eyes and I'll kiss you cause with the birds I'll share this lonely view.0

heh. have had an offer accepted. Today, however, I have been writing letters from Mrs Angry to the bank saying "I dont care whose fault it is, just get the damn paperwork to my solicitor!"
So I have a 3 week incompetence delay. I'm feeling bad because my vendors and I both expected me to be a better buyer

So because EAs sometimes get messed around it's OK for them to mess other people around?
That's not what I said.
All I'm suggesting is, as another poster says, the general public are not reliable. And whilst I know there's no way of compiling statistics on it, if you were to add up the number of missed appts and divvy them up by who messed who up, my instincts tell me that more of them would be the general public not turning up and messing the EAs around, rather than vice versa.
It's not acceptable for EAs to miss appts, and it's not acceptable for the general public to miss appts with EAs, essentially.
Same applies to any other industry where the public make appts with business people.0
