Yeah does seem quick! Just wondering what they do next?

I understand i can ring them for advice and help with forms when ready to go ahead, pleased about this as have a house and its stressing me knowing whether to move out or stay put.

Does anyone know if they book you an appt to see someone in person once they have recommended BR online? Just thinking it would be good to talk face to face with someone?

    Grateful for any replies

CCCS are purely a phone service, for a face to face then you need either the CAB who are snowed under at the moment or CAP (details in the Bankruptcy Help sticky).

Can anyone advise me if there is a minimum level of debt against which, bankruptcy can be filed? My debts are somewhere in the region of £10k+ all by Lloyds TSB but my problem is that LLoyds will not tell me where two of the accounts are whilst the third is held by BLS. I am unemployed so I am paying a minimum payment suggested by CCCS. However, the level of charges is getting to be ridiculous and I see no easy way out of the hole, especially as my material wealth probably amounts to less than £200.

Incidentally, Lloyds TSB refused to assess me as a priority when I claimed for illegal bank charges and I am betting they are not acknowledging that I am even in the queue.

The stress of harrassment from BLS is starting to affect my health and I am suffering bouts of depression - so far, only short periods.

Hi and welcome to the board.

There is no minimum for BR. You may be eligable for a DRO (debt relief order) rather than BR but give CCCS a ring and explain you have had enough and is BR or a DRO an option. They will tell you if it is. If they advise you to go BR or for a DRO then we will help you all we can.

For future reference you will find you get more help if you start your own thread and ask questions rather than pop it in the middle of someone elses where it can get lost.

wow, you got the cccs nod quickly. we're waiting for them to call us back at the moment, called them last week and got an appt for 2.30 today.

when they see how little we have and how much we owe they are going to have to recommend BR for us too.

can't wait til it's over. i am not the most patient person in the world!

Well we had our telephone appt with CCCS and they said that we could either send all our creditors token payments of £1 each for 6 months til we got back on our feet, or immediately file for BR.

Guess which we have chosen?!

So we're filling in OH's form right now as I did mine yesterday (although not printed and confirmed yet)

Well we've cleared out our accounts and are ready to go for tomorrow morning!
Fingers crossed it all goes to plan.

Going to watch Torchwood, eat some jaffa cakes and have one gin and tonic to calm my nerves.

Then check all our paper work and get a good nights rest.

    Wish us luck! :)
