Replacement o2 fone

ok, i lost my phone about 3weeks ago-reported it lost/stolen that night to 02 then phoned on the next morning to my insurance to let them know! they told me i needed to pay £25 excess fee fair enough! went to police that sat and reported it lost and gt a ref no.

got sent the form away last fri by the time it got posted out and i filled it in! got fone on tues and put in my sim and couldnt make calls all of tues-finally read the instructions and found out i needed to reg the sim! (doh!) rang o2 yesterday and she asked me my details and reg the sim with the no. on the bk! told me this would work after 2-24hrs! good i thought these things always usually take only a few hrs or so!

NO!!! still not working this am phoned back o2 today and they said it hadnt been reg correctly then i read the no. from the back of the sim and she said yea actually it is!!!! :mad:

dont know what this could be you have an oustnading balance and i said no i dnt and she looked again and confirmed all dd where paid! then she put me on hold and said there was a handset bar on it and some other bar but it will be lifted! keep your fone on for 2-24hrs!!! still nothing i am fuming it took me 2weeks 2 get a fne which i hada pay 25quid for on top of my 7.99 a month then it still isnt working after 3 days!

PLUS my bill is due to billed on the 17th and i hardly used my monthly allowance but il still have to pay the monthly charge!! is this legal? im really not happy with this at all!! wat can i do if anything.... sorry for the long post everybody! :eek:

Have you tried switching the phone off and then back on? as sometimes messages to the sim ie lifting bars and updates the sim needs to be rebooted for them to work. If that doesnt help things then get back on to them for an explanation and to get it sorted.
