All the fraudulent activities had been carried out by Nasir Ilyas and his wife Asma Qayoum (who he has now divorced). When Nasir Ilyas realised that his fraudulent activities had been caught out he then sold the company to Imran Husseiyn who really is a genuine man. He also made bobby shabbir and bilal khwaja partnes in 2009 who had nothing to do with all this and have now had their pratice certificates suspended too.

It appears that the real problems started to occur when David and Steven were forced out of the firm. It is most unfortunate to read that there good names and reputations have been tarnished by the dishonest conduct and performance of the new owners/management team. Lets hope the SRA promptly resolve these issues as ultimately its the clients that are left suffering.

i think you will find that as soon as any fraudulent act was discovered it was infact David Burke and Steven Clarke who actually were the first people to report Wolstenholmes to the SRA. I am sorry to hear that your friend had problems. As a matter of interest how much did they lose and was it for online conveyancing? Mr Burke left before any online conveyancing was set up in WH

I'd just like to say that like Tweety I do think that the focus should be on the rather dodgy owners of the firm i.e. Nasir Ilyas etc... why is everyone focusing on IM when he's plainly a Scapegoat in all this.
I'm not saying that he's without blame, but he plainly wasn't the start of the problem, he sounds likes he's just the poor smchuk who's carrying the can and quite frankly if I were him; in his position... I really would be working 17 hour days to try to drag myself out of mire that the owners put him in !!!
So lets start focusing on the real Organ Grinder of everyones Misfortune and not his Monkey.
