All these unhappy clients, how many have actually followed the firms complaint proceedure?
Yes, I too tried to follow their complaints procedure - got no response at all so I've raised an official complaint.
I'd also like to mention that my buyers solicitor is as bad - if not worse.
Anyone heard of ABT Law in Bury?0 -
Still no reply, been two working days now. what a joke.0

They have been dealing with my sale and purchase. You are not always kept up to date and the log in system to your personal account only gets updated once that issue is complete.
We moved 06/10/09.They have only just arranged for a cheque to be sent to me for the remaining 27k on 19/10.I smell they are earning intrest on this money.
Furthermore the money requested from the Building Society was asked for some four days earlier (120k).Would they have been earning on that too. It's cost me and extra 15 pounds per day for that.
You complain and you go round in circles.
Legal complaints authority and SRA have been advised and I am due to complete LCA forms this week as their complaints service in replying is total rubbish.
Their website reels you in with good commendations from past clients.
Shouldn't they be putting bad comments on there too to balance it up0 -

Hopefully I'm wrong(and if so, will update this post to give them some credit) but calls do tend to go unanswered. Is it worth at this stage changing solicitors and still being able to complete on time or just go with the apparent slow moving flow and keeping fingers crossed ??
Please Please report them to the Law society it cannot be right they can upset and possbly ruin sales and purchases without comeback0 -
I was worried when I saw this thread. Instructed them in July and was told would be no problem completing by 4th Nov when I have to be out of rented accommodation. No chain so thought it would be straightforward. I've spent the last few days bombarding them with calls and e-mails trying to get hold of solicitor supposed to be doing the work for me, seriously worried I'd end up on a mates sofa. Also IM'd Naz on this thread a couple of days ago who in fairness got back to me within 24 hours. I didn't have contact from solicitor until this afternoon though. He's apologised and said that I will still complete by 4th, although I'll have to take signed documents to vendors estate agent because of postal strike. I'm not counting my chickens yet and it shouldn't have come to this but persistance seems to pay. They also offer one of the lowest rates around, maybe pay more if you want better service?0

The second of my 2 emails was a request to cease all action, and credit my account with my initial deposit. The following day, after speaking to another solicitor, I got a phone call from Wolstenholmes who appeared worried that I wanted all proceedings stopped, and assured me they were still working towards the completion date I'd specified. Will let you all know what happens0

Its not worth it choke, get the hell away from them, everyones experiencing the same so its no coincidence. Find a recommended local solicitor to continue with and get your money back. The longer you stay with them the more grief they'll cause you0 -
No 27k cheque which I am told was sent on Monday 19/10.I'll be checking if an important letter was sent first class.Of course the post strike could become a good excuse now
Still no call from 'so called customer services'0 -
Peeps, although its sounds like your doing everybody a good service, and you are! Please be careful about what you post, if you cannot prove what you are saying you get us in trouble.
Dont get personal just let us know the service is poor and keep to facts!
A few of the other brokers and older posters will know what I mean, I have been about longer than my sig says as I had to start again.

Wolsenholmes. instructed them a month ago,, paid 300 quid deposit, not a peep from them since, the online tracker file remains empty, its impossible to speak to a solicitor, its easier to contact the dead than this lot, cancelled all dealings with them today and have appointed a new firm to do the work, wish i'd seen this forum sooner, dont use them its like being mugged, slowly0
